New member (new .300s 81er)

Hi, I registered here to mostly get new insight on the 81 I got. Been looking forward to one of these for a while and never noticed they weren't ludacrisly as expensive as other older rifles I've seen.

Welcome new .300s 81er, you can look forward to learning a lot about your Model 81, John Brownings 'slast designed commercial rifle. I have a .32 Model 8 that has been a 3 generation hand me down and a .35 Model 81. These guns got me interested in semi-autos and I have acquired 2 SKS's, purchased from friends that wanted to liquidate their holdings. Don't think I need many more for home defense.
