My 1928 model 8

Post by big al »

Hello Guys
Here is my model 8 in 32 rem. I think it was sent back to the factory and chnged from 30 to 32 . The 2 is overstamped on the 0 on the bolt and it is smaller than the 3 or 0.
It is coded B3J over AW.
I also posted some of these photos on the old forum.

really cool Al, love that history of the caliber change. I've seen pictures of one from a 25rem to a 30rem but never one of a 30 to a 32. Very interesting!

Hello
I Took some new pics the other day of my model 8s and this is part two my 1928 I already posted pics of my 1908 in the correct thread. I thought some of these pics were kind of blurry and needed redoing.

Hey Big Al,

This is an unusal rifle with the overstamp. It would make a nice addition to any collection. It would be interesting to know the reason for the caliber change. With the repair code on the shroud it would make me belief the caliber change was done at the factory. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Regards,
