Hey Guys,
I know that many of you are aware that I have said I am ceasing to be active in buying more Remington’s and FN’s for my collection. I have said that I would be delivering 150 rifles to Corey Creamer on consignment to Ward’s Sporting Collectibles and that task was competed on November 9 last week. I don’t know how long it will take Corey to get the rifles logged in and recorded for the first auction. He told me that it will take several auctions over a period of time. I will be delivering additional firearms to Corey to put in upcoming auctions.
Many of you have followed my postings over the years and are aware that I was very active in buying rifles to enhance my collection of over 230 Remington Model 8 & 81 and FN Model 1900 rifles. Many of you caught the dreaded “jackitis” as a result of following my activity and succumbed to the affliction of “buying another rifle whether it was needed or not”. As a result of filling specific niches in the collection, the collection grew to the size it became. For those that may not be fully aware of some of the rifles in the collection, I wanted to share with you some specific rifles that will be offered in the upcoming auctions.
In addition to the common model 8 and 81’s, there will several graded rifles in various calibers. There will be 8 FN model 1900’s, there are 3 Model 8 D Grades, 1 model 81 D Grade, 13 model 8 C Grades in various stock configurations of straight stock, round knob and pistol grip. There are 4 Model 81 Kreiger and 2 removable magazines in model 81. There are 3 model 81 FBI rifles with the Lyman model 41 peep sight.
I am certain that Corey will be providing much more information about the rifles. I have a lot of data on each rifles and may be able to answer some questions if you have any.
Regards,
Jack
