Remember recently when Tony Blinken winced when POTUS called Xi a dictator? He winced such that he looked pained, like someone hit him.
I felt like that when I saw this beautiful rifle butchered. Great price and I was getting exited but....
This hurts physically. Why, oh why?????

Unfortunately, some of these get modifications that hurt collectability and value. At that time though, the hunter/shooter had done to his rifle what he wanted to.
Fitting a more pleasing butt plate/pad would improve the look of the buttstock. The scope mount isn't an easy on to source. I can only assume the relief cuts on the raised rib were for a front sight shroud.

I didnt notice those grooves up forward, once I saw the Swiss cheese I lost interest. Were it mine I would just plug the holes and shoot as intended.
I suppose the price is OK for what it is, but those holes....

Someone got a very nice FN reasonable. Stock looks to be uncut and a little elbow grease it will shine. Just add a period correct scope and you’re done. Anybody here end up with it?

I had the same thoughts, as long as one can look past the holes, its all good.
