These are a few from my other Remington collection bolt actions !! I have always liked any Remington rifle or shotgun but I especially liked the bolt actions from the Model 30s, 720, 721, 722, 725s and the early 700s !! Here are a couple of the rarest and hard to find Remington rifles that I own. They are model 725 Kodiak's in both calibers the 375 and 458. According to John Lacy's book they made 28 in 375 H&H and 24 in 458 win. And they were all made in the custom shop in 1961. The following year came the early 1962 mod 700 Safari's also very scarce rifles for the first few years.
I am going to post a bunch of pictures of my two rifles. The top gun in pictures is the 375 and below the 458. I keep the bolts out of my guns in the safe and forgot to put them in for pictures. They are however both serial numbered to the guns.
The 375 was owned by a high end Gun collector near Waco Texas named "Paxton Littlepage" and I bought the gun along with it's original box from an auction after he passed away. This gun is pictured on page 80 of Lacy's book on the Remington 700.
The 458 I bought in a personal sale from a guy in Montana. Then while doing some research on the Kodiak's I found that it sold at Poulin's Auction in Maine and that it came from the "Lewis & Leyton Yearout" collection back in Montana !!! This one has been around !! LOL
I posted these guns on the Remington site with very little interest in them. Probably because there weren't many around but I have never had a lot of replies on the Remington forum ? Not sure why ?
Hope some of you enjoy them as much as I do. Thanks for looking. John Taylor

These rifles had 26" barrels and the white lug cap covering the pin through the stock for strength.
They were also milled slots for muzzle brake from the factory they were carried on into the early 700 Safari's until 1963.
Hope you enjoy. Thanks for looking ! John Taylor
