Super cool side scope mount, never seen that before!
If I were in the US (I wish), I'd bid on it

I have recently seen several 8/81s and now this FN for sale by this same seller on Gunbroker. He must be selling a collection for someone.

Just for fun and discussion, does anyone care to speculate how much $s this one might go for? I also have never seen one for sale on Gunbroker, so this one will kind of set the precedent on FN 1900s-for me at least.

Hey fellas,
I saw this FN rifle a few days ago. For someone who doesn’t have an FN this might be a good piece to acquire. But it has been rather poorly reblued. I have one area of experience that I have gained after my 40 years of collecting and handling Browning Auto 5s. I can tell an FN original bluing job from a redo all day long. This rifle has been sanded too much, and the color is all wrong in the bluing. Even from pictures on the internet this one is an easy one to spot. I just couldn’t let any fellow members buy this without knowing. Many of you have probably noticed this long before now.
Thanks for your time

I think it goes for close to $5K. Seen other less rare rifles go for nearly that of late.

Seems like a lot for an example in rather rough condition (I still think that scope mount is too cool tho!)
But, the word is out I'm afraid - no more bargains on these gems

I over guessed on it, but I was pretty sure it was going to go for more than what others might expect and as noted the good ol days seem to be over at least for the more rare versions.
I really did expect it to go higher though being an FN which one hardly ever sees.

Very educational, to say the least.
