Remington 141-B to look at

Post by 54bullseye »

Not a lot of posting going on so here is a nice one to look at. Someone had surely used it there are quite a few nicks and scratches on the wood and some carry wear but I don't mind that a bit ! Serial numbers on both halves match as does the butt plate but I haven't taken stock or fore arm off yet. Cool old 141 !! Thanks for looking . John Taylor PS I will have to use multiple post for pics as I took a few.

I've never seen a 141-B, that's a beautiful rifle. You can really see it's a contemporary of the 81-B

Thanks for sharing! I'm never been a big lover of the 14 or 141 personally but that one really catches my eye, WOW!

Thanks Cam for the kind words !! I like pretty much all the old Remington guns especially the higher grades. They are getting hard to come by. I have a model 141-D grade that is really nice two. I will take some pictures soon and post them. Do you have any high grade 8s or 81s ??? John Taylor

Nice rifle! It’s not easy to find them in such condition. I'd like to see the D grade.

I really like these guns. I have a 14 & 141 in 35 REM.

From some of the reading I’ve done, the 14’s “certain serial # range” can be quite tricky to source parts to fix. I did a full tear down and clean up "short of disassembling the bolt" on my 14. They do demand one's attention and respect.

Here's a picture of mine.

Nice pair of pump guns !! Both in great calibers. There is a guy Jim Peterson on the Remington Society forum that is a master at fixing anything on 14s and 141s ! I sent him a bolt with a thumbnail safety that was missing a spring. He fixed it and cleaned bolt and had it back to me in just a couple days. Thanks for posting pictures of your old Remington's !! Thank you. The 14 has seen some use and the 141 is in nicer shape.

Yes, Nambujim. I have visted the Remington Society forum and learned quite a bit from some of his posts.
