Re: Special Firearm

I know it's an old post but the Fraser gun is absolutely beautiful.

Rear Sling Swivel FN 1900

Recently got my first 1900 and rear swivel is long gone, just a hole. Probably never find one off a 1900 but I have read that the older vintage FN built A5 shotgun used identical swivels. A shot in the dark for sure.

Re: FN 1900 Rear Swivel

Appreciate it. Don't know how hard it will be to find one but gotta be a lot of early A5's out there with swivels which were not so popular this side of the pond.

FN 1900 Rear Swivel

Anyone out there have a photo of a rear sling swivel and band for the 1900? Pretty sure they are identical to the ones of the early A5's . My 1900 is missing it and I wiould love to be able to put it back to original. Really appreciate it if someone could email me a photo. Address is diamondsquare19...

Re: Different type of peep sight !!

You're right now that I look a little closer. Same design, different execution. Can't see the aperture being very useful on a barrel sight. A long ways from the eye to the aperture. Never tried one personally, just my impression.

Re: Different type of peep sight !!

Like has been said it is likely of a Remington 14 or some variation. I think it was called a Dockendorff rear sight. Savage put them on some rifles as well don't know if they were an optional thing or standard for Savage rifles though.

Tried to post pics. Pics too large unable to resize due to being technologically retarded. If you PM me your email perhaps I could send them to you?

FN 1900 Patent

Hi, just found out about this forum. Recently acquired a 35 remington FN built rifle in really good condition. I was told to submit the serial number here for an FN database. Low number I gather, only 944. I will post some pics later. I live in Canada and not a lot of info available on these rifles.
