Thanks. You were exactly correct...I fell for the optical illusion by not paying closer attention. Next time you get your Model 8s out, could you pull the bolt back a bit and see how much movement there is on your extractor? Kid's Model 8 moves quite a bit more than my 81. Question: When pulling back the bolt handle to the rear, should the extractor move? My son's Model 8 barely pulls the case out of the chamber. I noticed that when pulling back the bolt handle, the extractor immediately starts to move forward of the bolt. With my model 81, the extractor doesn't begin...

Reloading Model 8 in 30 Remington.
Reloading the 30 Remington for both a model 8 and 14... My #1 question is if I neck down 32 Remington brass, will I have to ream the neck? Secondly, who makes a good, old school, round nose bullet today?
