Re: possibly new run of hornady 35 remington
Mike, My stash getting depleted. Not finding anything in stock recently. Midsouth shooters supply has a Lee 6 cavity mold for 200 gr flatpoint .358. With the sizer and 1000 gas checks the cost just over $100. Might be an option. Joe Joe, That sounds like a good plan and a great deal. Owen

Re: Scope For A FN 1900 Found And Mounted
Joe is a good guy and easy to work with. I purchased my 1927 Model 8 in 35 cal from him this past year, when I was on dialysis and awaiting for my kidney transplant (Covid sucks). I don't know if he used some of skills on it, or if it was just in great shape, but it looks real good and is accurate t...

Photo of the left side, I only see 2 ghost rings. I think the "B" was the 8 after my compression app changed it to get this site to accept my photos.

Jack,
I will post additional photos, what views would help for clarity? Also is there a trick to posting high resolution photos?

Jack,
Alas, I was correct it is SN 638, wish I wasn't. Not rare but still it is a three digit Model 81 in very nice condition. So I will tuck it away for now.

Model 81 #638
For your perusal my first spring pole, a first year model 81, #638 in 35 remington. It is unmodified with a buckhorn rear sight and up front a Lyman #5 sight. My smith rates the bluing at ~90% and the furniture a little less. I had wanted to have him mount a NIB Williams fp-81 sight on it as I find ...

A question and a lead for someone
Hello to the forum, relatively new and reading old posts to try to learn more. My question is does anyone know from when to when Williams produce the FP-81 sight? When I contacted Williams with photos all they could tell me was that it was one of their's (the clue was Williams printed on it). Second...

Re: 1927 Production Model 8 35 Rem FS
Dan, I appreciate the input, it looks great and sounds good to go from the start. The 81 I have coming is from an auction and as always a crap shoot as to functionality until I get my hands on it.
So I for now one to use and one to work on.

Sir,
This is very nice, if I didn't just buy an 81 a week ago, I would all over this. Even though this is higher costing it is head and shoulders above mine.

Hello folks, new to this forum, located in Pennsylvania between Philadelphia and Allentown. I have a 3 digit model 8 in 35 rem on the way, this is my first. I have examples of all JMB's Winchester rifle/carbines and shotguns. I am trying to expand my horizons. I have found great information here so ...
