Model 8 butt stock

Looking for a Model 8 butt stock in good condition. My .25 Rem has an aftermarket stock that fits fine but just doesnt look right on such an old rifle.
It could be traded for with that stock or other parts or money.

PM if you have anything.

Thanks

It took me a long time to warm to the .32 cal, (except for 8mm ) and before this rifle I had a Remington 141 pump gun in this cal and also still have a Winchester 94 Canadian Railroad Comm. rifle in .32 Win Special that I like.

Re: Remington 8 in .32 Rem

Took the range again today, this time loads using IMR 4895, same Speer bullet. Also now wears a Lyman tang sight with the folding inner peep, works great.
Loads at 50 yds varied from an inch to maybe 1.5". This is a sweet shooter!

Re: Remington 8 in .32 Rem

I looked at several manuals, both old and newer and the highest charge I saw for the 170 Speer with 3031 was 34 grs and I only went to 30gr. Best load accuracy wise was 28 and 29 grs. As I have no hunt plans for this rifle, I have no need to push it. I started at 26 grs and that ran the rifle just f...

I think I saw some of the FTX bullets the other day somewhere, they would be a good thing to try. Got some range time today with this old rifle. This is the one I lost the washer on but I stole the one out of my .25 and used it here and it works fine in both rifles. I had a handload worked up with 170 gr Speers and 3031 powder. Took me about 10 rounds to get the sights on at 50 yards, first shot...

Swapped out the washer from my .25 cal rifle for now, so at least I can take it to the range, but for sure will need a washer so if anyone has one to spare let me know, can purchase or trade Rem 8/81 parts for it.

Lost mine today, need a barrel nut washer for a .32 cal. My barrel nut has 25 teeth. I have some odds and ends of parts for trade or just purchase if you have one let me know.
Have a .35 cal washer to trade, too big for the .32 cal barrel.

With that old of brass annealing may not help much. .35 Rem brass is readily available on Gunbroker and elsewhere. Sadly its probably ready for the recycler.
The necks might give up on pulling bullets. Too old, too brittle.

That was my thought as well as I could find no reference to such a rifle. It was a nice rifle and the price was good so someone did get a good deal I think. The U in US looked sort of goofy and not like one usually sees.
