.25 Rem Police Rifle?

I know it sounds out of left field. But were there any recorded .25 Rem police rifles or any .25 police rifles at all? I’m looking at purchasing a Model 8 in .25, only downside to it is a slight dent in the barrel shroud and the magazine is missing, which raised my suspicion. Could anyone be able to show me what the inside of a police rifle magwell looks like? Thanks.

There are no verified 25Rem Police 8 or 81's nor are there any references to them in POEC or Remington historical literature. 30Rem or 35Rem were the choices.
We do have a photos of the modified trigger plates and receiver internals of both a POEC 8 and a Special Police 81 in the below article...
