Working on the new 35
Re: Working on the new 35
Amazing how those parts interchange on precision rifles designed & manufactured a hundred years ago.
Try doing these repairs on the majority of others of that vintage & there would be hours to days of hand fitting to the parts "close" to working.
JMB rocks

Howdy Tony.
I'm glad to hear the bolt worked out, it never hurts having a spare firing pin.
Regarding the magazine. Can see that it currently strays to the left, getting it back to straight is the goal. I've personally never had to mess with the body itself. Study opening measurements from both "outside & inside" to figure your course of action. Of course much care should be taken to not bend/form it back further than it needs to be. A insert in the empty mag "fits close" so you don't bend further down the body than you want may be a good idea. Take your time and use a measuring tool "like a caliper" so you know how much or little needs moved.
Good for you putting the effort getting it back to proper shooting glory. Look forward to your progress.
