Can't fault the guy for his optimism, that there are bids on it is another matter. I recall a quote from P.T. Barnum: "There's a sucker born every minute."

And to think, I've been using these 8mm mauser stippers I picked up for $5 at a gunshow ($1.25 each!). I guess I got no taste.

I'm new to Model 8's.

Will these work in a .35REM Model 8?

I was able to pick up a handful of the mauser clips for $0.25 a piece at a show last year.

If that equates to Fred and I being tasteless "SO BE IT" haha.

Thanks guys,

Last couple questions:

1. One piece or two piece Mauser clips?

2. Have read 6.5mm and 8mm Mauser clips, which works best?

Thanks,
Tawn

I am not a connoisseur of stripper clips or old mausers. I actually had a pocketful of 35 Rem brass when I went to a gunshow and some guy had ammo cans full of war surplus stuff. I tested the clips for function before I reached for a $5 bill. I did not shop around and probably over-paid.

You can probably find a similar picture through an online image search for "8mm mauser stripper clip" and select one that looks like the one I shared. Chances are it'll link to some business selling them. I know that those sort work. The clips' construction in the pic above is literally two pieces: some miniature C-channel and a captured leaf spring piece. All steel construction I believe. Your pic looks like a one-piece corrugated brass design. Might work. At least it won't cost you $250 a pop to find out.

M14 stripper clips work pretty good, too. About .50 apiece. :)
