Hello
Attached are some pictures of my friend's FN1900. It is in poor condition but functional. It was probably burried here in europe during the war, the steel is badly pitted and the wood is unreversely impregnated with oil…. but it is still very attractive in my opinion ! These "life scarfs" even give it some personnality !

but I am not objective…. but I know you on this forum arent either…
cheers

Very cool!
How long was it buried - is it a recent find?
Can you provide some details on how it was found? I'm quite curious to know how it was treated/prepared for long term burial storage.
And - the brass plate with number 72?

We like personality
Plus it looks like someone did a reasonable restoration. The scarfs are heritage in my opinion.

How terribly interesting. Do we know what the brass plate signifies?

I would love to know the serial number if it's legible!! Perhaps?
