Found this page researching the Model 8 of course. Looks like I'll be buying a model 8 from someone, but it's in pieces, and is missing the mag and mebbe a couple of small bits. Waiting on pics and final part count later this week.

Anyway the real question is how hard/expensive is it to find a mag for these things? It's a 1920 production based on the serial.

I assume you need a whole assembly. They have the box, but no follower or spring. It's not cheap, either. I would be watching gunbroker.com and auctionarms.com for some parts, too.

Yeah, the whole mag assembly. Still haggling on the final price for the rifle, and another member here PM'd me with a complete mag. Already liking this board Excited about most likely getting this model 8!

Looks like the whole assembly was found. This is the rifle I'll be buying in a few weeks.
