Finally made it to the range to test some reloads for my 32 last week. For the shooting this time I made it at 50 yards since it was iron sights with old eyes. Test target was 10 rounds from sandbag rest. For those with the attentive eyes ,it was a hot day and the adult beverage was after the shooting was completed.
Load data: Brass- reformed new 30 Rem brass
Bullet- Hornady 170 gr Fp
Powder- IMR 4895 32grs
Primer- Winchester large rifle
Velocity verified by Chrony 2,000 fps

Re: Range report 32 Rem reloads and my Model 8
Hey Joe,
That's pretty good shooting for 50 yds. with iron sights. I don't even shoot past 25 yds. any more because my vision is so bad. I'd like to post some pics of my FN1900 rifle targets that I've shot.
Maybe I'll get it done one of these days.
Thanks Roger

Re: Range report 32 Rem reloads and my Model 8
Roger,The moon and stars were right that day for sure. I only had one cup of coffee that morning and the Bullbag rest was plenty solid. The reloads were a pleasant surprise and no doubt had something to do with the consistency. I chronographed four of them and they were within 6 fps of each other. Spread was from 1998 to 2004 fps. I may have mentioned this on another post but I do like to crimp even jacketed bullets.Don`t like the crimp that the seating die does and with the cost of brass it is too easy to ruin a piece with too much pressure if adjustment is off a bit. The Lee factory crimp die is not available for 32Rem so I gave the one for 30-30 a try. With care and easy pressure it gives a very nice even crimp. I feel this and the careful measuring of each powder charge resulted in those chrony numbers and the group.

Nice work, Joe.
You know I need to buy some of your .30 brass....and from Carl, too.
Just let me get away from these 6th graders.

AAD (anal-attentive-disorder) pays off. Great job... good shooting.
