Got a #45 Lyman sight, anyone need one? It's the same as a FBI receiver sight with a flat base. Not for 8-81s.
About 80-90% finish, comes with target screw in disc aperture. Sorry, no mount screws.

Re: Lyman # 45 REcvr sight
The FBI sight that is on the Model 81 is a 41R not a 45. Can you show a close-up picture of the sight?

OK, here you go They're not as crisp as I'd like but you get the idea
Notice it has the indicator for elevation, 3 mount holes, and the target aperture.
It's not a 41 R sight, but the one for straight sided receivers.

Re: Lyman # 45 REcvr sight
Just to add confirmation, Jack is correct that the R41 is the correct sight for the 8/81's. The R45 looks very similar, but not correct. They have fooled me several times sitting in a case at a gun show.

Re: Lyman # 45 REcvr sight
Phirbird, regrettably I am not yet an 8/81 owner, however, I do own a Winchester 1903 .22 automatic. The Lyman 45 fits that rifle nicely. If you still have the sight, I would be interested buying it. Thanks, Jaybird.
