Am I missing something about this rifle? Are the 25 Rem's really rare or something? Receiver bluing is almost gone, and the wood is very scarred up.....

author John Henwood estimated that only 3% of all Model 8's were mfg. in 25Rem (p.161). This figure was probably composed from his own personal research because I don't know of any factory records indicating production by caliber. Nevertheless Model 8's in 25Rem are not common.
