So, my interests in firearms, until recently, have been modern weapons. Until I got that old 30-30 from my grandfather-in-law before he passed my collection was all metal and plastic. Now that I have some pretty "mature" guns I'd like to get some expert advice on what to use to protect and clean the wood stocks/grips without damaging, discoloring and leaving a waxy buildup of gunk.
Thanks

Re: New to old guns
Personally I don't put anything on 8/81 wood, some of that original varnish (model 8) and laquer (model 81) finish is fragile (if there is any left anyways).
