What's it worth?

I was wondering what this model 8 was worth. Its a .30-30. Yes its for sale just getting an idea of what its worth. Thanks.

it's worth whatever you ask for it, lol. I'm no expert on engraved rifles, I'd post on remingtonsociety.com as well.

Technically, the rifle in the photos is a No.6, or "Premier", grade. The last serial number shipped in 1910 was 21889, and the last serial number shipped in 1911 was 26489. With a serial number of 21973, this rifle's implied approximate year of manufacture would have been 1911. Prior to 1915 the grades were numbers: No.1 - "Standard"; No.3 - "Special"; No.4 - "Peerless"; No.5 - "Expert"; and No.6 - "Premier". After 1915 the numbers were changed to letters (A, C, D, E, and F, respectively). There was no No.2 or B.

You have a beautiful rifle, but it is a shame that someone has put a much later vintage ventilated, "white-line" recoil pad on it. :(
