New member from California

Post by fluffyaleutian »

Hello! My name is Bryce and I have been the owner of a Model 8 for about 6 months now. It's a fantastic rifle that kicks like a mule. Mine is in .32 Remington. I have a Lyman peep sight on it, and acquired 20 stripper clips (19 steel and one original Brass). This is such a fun rifle to shoot.

You are right about that. They are a hoot! If you want to try a stiff recoil, try a .300 Savage with 180 grain bullet.

Welcome, if you don't like the recoil of the 32 you really will be uncomfortable with a 300 Sav. Mine has a better punch tamed by a Limbsaver slip on. It works well. :ugeek: . My 32s are moderate. You should try a 45-70 with my Ken Waters Pet Loads, talk about a sledge :!: :!:
The 35R with a 220g slug is less sharp than the 300, Just about the same momentum.
