WTT Parts and more

Post by Phyrbird »

Forum members,
I've some items you might want or need. (PICs at the bottom post)
The list:

In the Bin For Sale or Trade: (Trade usually better for both)
Update 5/4/20
A couple extractors 1 25-30-32 Rem, 1 35R or 300Sav
a couple bolt carrier links for M8/81s,
a 300 Sav Bbl, + a Bbl sleeve + a few parts for said sleeve. No buffer spring. (this is kinda rough finish, best for a project rifle)
An aftermarket forearm, walnut, it's only roughed out, Bbl channel is not completed.
1ea G&H base to fit our Ladies, 1 ea G&H base for unknown
Assortment of screws for the G&H scope mounts, tested to fit
Base mount screws or taper pins (yeah that's right taper) (1 sets)
2 ea G&H bases for Garand, Gone
some 1911 odds and ends parts

Ya'll get first Dibbs :!: :!:

Update:
FBI takedown bolt & lever, the one with the shoulder for the lock washer WTS or WTT

Some 300Sav barrel Assy parts; I don't need 3 barrels. I do need springs and barrel washer. The sleeve (w/ bushing & front sight) is rather pitted at the muzzle; could be a good candidate for a carbine conversion. WTS or WTT

Looking for 300Sav bolt carrier & bolt complete w/ all parts; got the link, unless you just don't wanna remove it.
Looking for a 35 Rem barrel (prefer M8 if possible) in reasonable shape, threads good, no major flaws in rifling/chamber or barrel block. Probably should have the matching barrel nut with it.
Still need a M8 forearm screw, it's OK if the loop is not perfect. For a restore project.
Could use some rear sight blanks for use with the peep sights. no preference manufacturer.

Have a 35 Rem barrel. Barrel is frosted but has strong rifling. I think it will shoot good. No barrel nut. 150.00 shipped with a three day inspection return less shipping both ways.

Please send me an email, carlsandage@yahoo.com .
We can discuss, could you be interested in any of the trading material listed?
You can check with other trades we have managed; I have a fair satisfaction rate.

Huser,
I'm in process of cool weather catchup from hot season, will check soon. Know I've got some washers, just need to verify if they fit the 35 bbl. (these also should fit the 300Sav bbl) If you please it could be after T-day, OK?

Griffin & Howe base for M8? Do you still have the base? I would like to see a pic showing the mounting holes. I have a mount with rings and have been debating whether to use it or sell/trade it.

Found a pic on one of your previous posts. That's a lot of holes. My 8 isn't a rare one, but that's a lot of holes. Hmm.

That would be great if you have it, the local gunsmith can’t seem to make one. Let me know if you have it so I can call off the gunsmith. Thanks

Just a heads up; decades ago I made a leaf spring from a hacksaw blade. Had to shape the contour, thin the leaf, bend the V with the right radius, & create the curl for the pin that worked the extractor. All for a 5mm rimfire rifle I had no way of getting ammo for. The heat treat was the hardest, took 3 tries, finally heated it to cherry, quench in 30 weight oil, then carefully heated the whole to a light blue, quench in H2O. The hardest was to get the blue not too dark, & not too light. The drop block German silver plated rimfire sold for $800 :o  :? , a nice gain but I lost @ $2000 in my labor if it counted.....
BTW still ain't found it, KNOW I got one, more later...

If you are careful with a bench grinder or dremal the flat springs for barrel lock and mag indicator can be made from the attached. Need to be careful not to get too hot while shapping as to not remove temper.
