New to the board with toys

Post by L.C.Borden »

Southern California is my stomping grounds.:( Remington's Models 11, 550-1, and 81 are my favorite toys.
My Model 81 is from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. arsenal. Worked many years at Tamco Steel and saw tens of thousands of weapons recycled into Rebar. A tragic waste! Luckily mine is safe in my safe. Shall send photos ASAP. Just stumbled on this group and am impressed.

Welcome L.C.Borden!

There's a lot of interest here in all POE Model 8's and 81's, would you be able to post some photos of your rifle?

How do I go about posting photos that are 2+mb when you have a 700kb limit?

Hey Leroy,

You have a very fine rifle. At least we know number 62 never made it to the scrap yard. These rifles are very special and there are several members who have been fortunate to acquire one of the LA County POE rifles. Your appears to have the original sling which is an added bonus.

As a matter of information, it is my understanding that number 40 just sold at auction for the amount of $8625.00 which included the buyers premium. Unbelievable!

Thank you for sharing the pictures of your rifle.

Regards,

jack1653
