Just a note about loads for the 35Rem, the data for the rounds I used to ring the 185 yd gong follow.
180g Hornady spire point (Not for use in tubular magazines)
a mish mash of brass: RP, SuperX, & FC
Standard rifle primer
36.7 g of 3031 measured not weighed (as in shaken not stirred) with a Quinetics hand held measure.
Not crimped, trimmed to just over minimum length, and seated with a inline Herters seater die.
Bob & I both had to hold over about 8" to compensate for drop.
These should be approached from 10% reduction as with all load testing.
Again I found the gong to be addictive with it's delayed notice you hit.
Sources for data working up this load began with Ken Waters Pet Loads, Lee manual, and Hornady manual.
Event reloads
Re: Event reloads
Loads with LeverEvolution powder coming for the 300Sav. I just finished checking fired cases vs factory in my rifle. The loads I used at the Event are about right for our ladies. They measure .0004-.0006 larger at the pressure ring than RP ammo after firing. That is Ken Waters criteria for close or at maximum for the rifle. I haven't made time to Chrono them yet. By the way get a hold of the 300 Savage article in his Pet Loads it's Great and very detailed.... (Handloader Magazine)

Re: Event reloads
Since we're sharing, here are the loads I used to ring the gong with my 81 in 30.
35.5 grains Winchester 748
150 gr. Speer Hot Core Round nose
CCI 200 primer
Crimped with Lee Factory crimp die
Chronoed at 2215 fps
31 grains IMR 3031
170 gr. Hornady flat point
Winchester primer
Haven't chronograped that load, but very accurate load.
