Info on my Model 8

Post by SHJ1227 »

Hi Gentleman, I have the Model 8 that had been my dad's. I will attach some photos below. I'm wondering what any of you can tell me about it. To me, it seems to be in really good condition. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it or not. Do you have opinions on what it may be worth?
It's a 35 cal., serial #48601, I think that makes it a 1923...?
It has a Kollmorgen Optical Corp Bear Cub 2 3/4 scope on a Weaver mount.
Any info and opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Scott

Very nice. The scope can subtract from the value but I would guess $7-800. Your Dad's gun should not be for sale normally but I don't know your life. It's a beauty that I would be proud of for sure!

Thanks for the input guys. I have several guns that were my Dad's. Some I am VERY attached to because of the memories that they bring back. I will NEVER part with them. The Rem 8, not so much... and at this point there is no one to hand it down to that cares. So, I am undecided what I want to do with it.....
