Imagesorry for all the separate photos. when i got this gun out of a pawn shop a year ago it was in the white with no blue left and no finish on the wood. i know a lot of people say DO NOT RESTORE! i say when a gun is in that shape you have nothing to loose and everything to gain! unless it was used by bonnie and Clyde. i striped it down and sent the metal to Mel Doyles Gun Shop.

Licensee Name: Doyle, Melvin
401 Ellis Ln
Plummer, ID 83851
Phone: 208-686-1006

he is the best! 24 hour service. i did the wood. the gun had no pitts and a perfect bore, she turned out great. and it shoots even better.

That's wonderful looking....I know I would be proud to own that piece....

Thanks for sharing those pics - I agree with you on the restoration. When the finish is all gone, and it's your gun anyway - enjoy it! The fact that it is another of those unique rifles with old-style 14 barrel on the second generation 141 receiver is great.
Nice find, and nice looking end result.

I've got to ask, though: what's your source for .30 Rem cases? (a popular topic for us all here, lol!) My apologies if that is a topic you wish to keep to yourself!

i like to help anyone i can because a people have helped me over the years. it's probably been 5 years ago when i got a few hundred pieces of 30 rem. brass from reeds ammo on line. i neck them up or down depending on 25-30- or 32 application.
