Reminton Model 8 25-35

Post by jack1653 »

Hey Guys,

I am looking for an older Model 8 that has the 25-35 on the receiver. I am told there are some out there but I haven't had much luck in locating one. I chatted with "citori" on the Cabella's forum and he indicated they are very hard to find particularly since you can't get ammunition for the rifle. I can't explain my interest other than I would like to have one. Price at this point is not an issue unless it is totally outrageous. If anyone out there might know of where to locate one, I would be very appreciative to have the lead. You may contact me personnaly if you don't want to post on the forum. My cell phone is 706-202-2590. Thanks a million.

These show up occasionally on the auction sites. It's not all that hard to find ammo as they shoot the regular old 25 Remington ammo. It's a lot harder to find the 25-35 stamped gun than ammo to shoot in it.

There was a minty 25-35 Rem up on gun broker this summer with 250 rounds of vintage ammo. Guy wanted $1500 for the whole deal. I was the high bidder on the auction several times at $1250, but he wouldn't budge. Don't know if he still has the gun or not.

Saw a really nice one go for $900 on GB in the spring of this year.

Randy,

Thanks for the reply. Do you happen to know the seller's name or code name used on Gun Broker? If I can identify the seller, I might be able to backtrack and do a search for that seller and dro[ him an email. Did you happen to ask any questions of the seller when you were bidding? I know when I ask questions I get an email from the sellar and if I had that information, I might be successful in making a contact. Thanks again for the input and I hope you can rmember something about the sellar.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the help in locating one of these hard to find rifles. A special thanks to model8man who gave me the lead from an old Gun Broker posting. One down and many more to find.
