RED HEAD LEATHER CASE ?
RED HEAD LEATHER CASE ?
I saw a picture of a Model 8 with an old Redhead leg o Mutton style leather case .It said it came with the the rifle . Were these made for the model 8 , as such ? I want to pick one up but see a few different shapes and styles .Is there one I should look for as a good fit for a Model 8 ?My model 8 was made in 1920 .

Does no one know the correct size for these ? I know of one 24 inches long and one 34 inches long , which is the right one for the model 8 taken down ?

The 1906 Catalog I have offers a case for sale. The link to the 34 in case is IMHO a shotgun case. I think and again just my opinion any takedown case measuring 24 in. to 25 in. would be correct no matter who made it.

Thanks would be good to find some old info from Remington catalogs or articles . I see these cases in all sizes but the shorter one makes sense . I would have to see how an 8 fit in one I guess to make a better guess .
