Hey fellas, I'm posting this here b/c the "view active topics" feature is not currently working in our "For Sale" section.
This is an FN 1900 "plain jacket version". This version accounts for probably less than 15% of all FN's. There are a few issues with the gun which I hope y'all can see in the photos. The seller is named Alex and can be contacted at the email below, he is asking $2,000.

You sure don't run across these FN's very often. This would make a good project gun if it were not for the fact that you can not find FN parts. Compare these pictures with some of the others in the FN thread.
It would seem to me that the stock is not an FN stock and that is a big issue. The round knob appears to be much larger than the FN round knob. It appears that the stock has cheeks which is more of an early Model 8 feature and is hard to find on the early model 8's. To the best of my knowledge, the FN's did not have the "cheeked" stocks. It is my opinion that this is a replacement stock from a model 8, but I could be wrong.
I tried to use a photo editor to lighten the picture and was partially successful. The checkering on the stock does not appear to be of the same as the forearm but I could be wrong. The forearm appears to be more similar to the model 8 Schnable. I have 8 of the FN's and the stock pattern does not look like any of my FN's, which are all the same pattern.
I would like to see the butt plate to see if it is an original FN butt plate. There is a series of threads on the forum about the worm eaten FN butt plates. You can not find butt plates for these FN's, not even reproductions and that is a big issue if you are wanting to restore it to an original condition. I know some have suggested that the FN shotgun plates will work, but again they are not the same as the rifle butt plates.
I find the silver plate a very attractive feature and do not consider it a major detractor. The rear sight upon closer examination would lead me to think that it is not original to the rifle and appears to be soldered on the jacket. It appears the original sight holes can be seen in the picture showing the right side of the barrel. It was hard for me to tell the condition of the metal because of the darkness of the pictures.
Perhaps Dennis or Corey will have some additional comments about this rifle. It is not my intent to be critical of this FN. These are my observations and if someone is expecting an original FN, this rifle, in my opinion, comes up a little short for the $2000 firm asking price.
