My 81 and a question

Post by rromeo »

Here's my 81 in 35 Rem. I got it in bad shape, the outside was pitted, and no bluing left. The internals and the bore were alright, and it shot well, so I had a buddy of mine blast and Duracoat it. When he disassembled the barrel, there was not barrel nut washer. I've been looking around ebay and gunbroker, all I've found are for the 25, 30, and 32 Rem. Is that something that I can buy and make work in my 35? Thanks.

Don't believe the 25-30-32R is the same as the 35R-300Sav. The barrel is larger at the threads. Think I got a spare, got something to trade?

rromeo, count the teeth on your barrel nut. You'll ideally want a nut washer with the corresponding number of notches.

Confirm that, it does make a difference.
