new pre-war early production m-81

Post by Roger »

I just got my new( to me) M-81 delivered today and it's pretty sweet. It's an early (84 xx) production 30 rem. Caliber rifle with a solid 95% bluing intact, which upon close exam. Appears original. Some might rate it higher and already have. The wood only rates 90% + in my opinion, but looks really OK to me.It's my first 30 rem. M-81. I've already got several 30 Cal. M-8s but no 30 Cal. M-81 s til today. I feel I made a good buy considering it's excellent condition.
I've been unable to post photos to the forum. But i'll try and get some up. Work is crazy busy so I don't have much extra time right now.
Thanks for your time, Roger

I took this early m-81 to the range this am. It shoots as good as it looks. I put 5 out of 6 rds. In one hole with some 30 rem. Loads I developed this last year. They used win.760 @ hornady 170 gr. Bullets for 30 wcf. I couldn't be happier with it's performance today. I'll try to get pics up one of these days. It's arelly clean m-81.
Thanks for your time
