Well; we went shooting today and shot the Model 81 .300 Savage a couple of times. Was checking out the charger clips I had bought. Got a Model 81 thumb. We were shooting some Speer 180 grain made by DWM, and everything seemed fine until the extractor retaining lug sheared off.
Seems in how this gun is 1940s vintage its hard to say wether old age; which I'm sure is a contributing factor; or the ammo caused this misshap.
Anyone got one lying around they don't need?
