I purchased this one off gunbroker recently. It was beat and battered badly with nearly 1/2" of accumulated dust on the bolt face, but still reluctantly cycled. Was able to preform a light restoration on the old stock repairs,re-blue the gun and bring her back to her former glory. Here is a quick picture trail of the process and end result. It is truly one of lives great pleasures watching something lost to time swim back to life from out of the murk.

Wow! I really enjoyed seeing the series of pictures from before to disassembly & cleaning to after. Amazing what's underneath all that grime. You did a great job and will keep that rifle running for many more years to come. Nice! :D

Is the serial number of your rifle 157?

The third number is a 7. The last could be a 9 but the picture is hard to tell. Good springpole regardless.
