35 cast boolit load,,,,,,,,,,

Post by olskool »

Image I thought I would share this load with ya'll I shot this the other day at 100yds off my bench with my 1933 model 8 in 35 rem. I used a old ideal 200gr. hp mold with 34gr. of #3031 and a fed 210 primer. I shot it at 50yds and cut a triangle 3 shot so I moved on to 100 and this is what I got. our deer season opened aug. 15 I will be in the woods in the morning with it,,,,,,,,,,[imghttps://i.imgur.com/0bbKyQMl.jpg][/img]Image

Wow! Sub-MOA! I'm lucky to get 4 MOA with my old eyes. Great shooting!

What Ideal mould number did you use? What diameter did you use, what OAL and what lubrication? With optics I haven't had much luck with jacketed or cast so if there's a magic bullet, I'm all ears.

sorry for taking so long to reply. the ideal # is 358515 the lube is beeswax and olive oil mixed fairly soft. sized to .360 and a light roll crimp on the crimp groove, that was my OAL,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
