Takedown- how do I

Ihave seen where the take down screw is behind the fore end but how do I get the fore end off in the forst place? flanman

There should be a screw about halfway down the forend. Unscrew it and the forend slides off, exposing the take down screw.

The one on mine looks like a sling mount, but it isn't.

Thank you I had thought that was a sling mount so was hesitant to mess with it too much until I knew for sure. flanman
