As I said on the welcome wagon, I inherited a gun collection, including some Remington's.
The Model 8 is a "D" grade, in .35 cal. Along with it was an extra barrel. However, it's a .25 cal. At the time I didn't know it wouldn't interchange with the 35. When I got John's book I found out that the 25-35 is quite rare, and it cannot be used with the 35. I thought about finding a nice early 8 in S N range (12xxx-13xxx), to put it into a period rifle.
I'm not sure that's going to happen, but I'm looking!!

Hey Chuck,
Welcome aboard. I would sure like to see some pictures of your Model 8 D Grade. Does it have the straight stock or the old style pistol grip? If you give up on trying to find something for the extra barrel, please let me know. I have been looking for a 25-35 since last October when I made a post in WTB section and would still like to get an extra barrel for a project I am working on. If you are interested in parting with the barrel, you can contact me at jack1653@att.net.
