Well if you live in DFW there are quite a few Model 8's at the Ft. Worth , Texas gun show as of 2:45 pm on Sat. And a couple odd ones to boot........ There was a Model 8 in decent shape chambered in .308 and marked so, there was a odd semi custom model 8 with nice (Non) factory checkered forend and pistol grip stock with a Gold oval (weird right?) another that had been cut down for a woman or child. Over all there were no less than 7 Model 8's there and all decent shooters prices were from $550-800. Was nice to see so many at show here they don't pop up like they use to.
Cheers......PackMule

Re: Ft.Worth gun show
I was there also. The .308 conversion was a shame. I liked the .32 model 8 on the west end of the hall but alas I was there selling not buying. The pistol grip M8 you mentioned had some nice figured walnut though as did the M14 pump with the left hand cheek piece. I want a .32 model 8 badly... They need to change the name to the Great Fort Worth Arts&Crafts Knives AR/AK and oh yeah Gun Show! Don't flame me about ARs- I have & enjoy several! Best,Thomas.
