Model 8-E at auction

Post by dale »

FYI.

The September edition of The Maine Sportsman has an ad for Poulin Auctions, which included a listing in their upcoming 10/3-6/14 firearms auction for a Remington 8-E (expert grade) in .35 Remington if anyone's in the market. I've got no association whatsoever, but suspect folks here would be interested, at least to see how high the bidding goes.

Link here: http://www.poulinantiques.com/view_item ... =Remington. Don't know if this is a stock pic or true representation of the actual rifle.

That is a nice looking rifle indeed. Thanks for sharing the link with us!

Poulin's also has another auction listing with a couple good Remington 8's. Two of which in 25Rem, one of which is in VERY good condition. Still retaining high cheeked stocks and a TOP tang metal buttplate. In 25Rem too!

Well, the 8E went for 7000 plus 17% auction fee plus 5.5% Maine state sales tax, if picked up at the auction site.

Grand total $8575. Were you in the running Jack?

Nice rifle though. Ayuh!!!

That's some good money there. For those who own high grade 8's and 81's, I'm those people are happy to see the value increasing!
