Old 8/81 hunting photo

Found this recently at a local bookstore:

and came across this pic toward the back of the book.

The book, a manual by L.L. himself, was first released in '42, my edition (11th) is '53, and the caption says fall of '44, so the photo was added by the fourth edition or later. There's an 8 in .32 (I think) that belonged to L.L. in a case in the main Freeport store. Seems like he and his hunting companions were fans...

Thanks for posting this great photo Dale. It was nice to see that the entire hunting party had great taste in their chose of firearms!

Looks like 3 Model 8's? VERY Cool! Thank thank for posting this. I bet that was one fun day :D

Took a closer look at the rifle on display in the Freeport Bean store and read the book a little more and it turns out LL's rifle is in .25, not .32 (for those who were dying to know!).
