http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... =388318658 I have had this M8 for a few years and have been looking for a buttplate ever since. I think i paid a little too much for it and i don't think it's the right style but it is original and I have screws. According to the seller:
"The butt plate you refer to in my auction is of the early type. It is correct for your 1907 and was used up to about 1911 when Remington made the change to the later type inscription.

I think the buttplate started on M8's in 1911 but RB says it will fit.
