Model 8 from yesteryear

As a youngster, my father grew up hunting in the 1950's and 1960's here in Texas with a handful of older men who primarily used Model 8's, 81's, and Winchester SLR's.

Here's a cool picture he recently found of a friend of his holding one of the camp's scoped Model 81's.

Yeah, I member that old style fence round lots of yards, & gardens. Not much good keeping out critters or kids. Another place you had to clip by hand.
