Model 8 E Xmas present

Post by Silvermino »

Phyrbird, I added some close up pictures of the receiver engraving and of the checkering.

The rifle was shipped in 1911.

This is a Christmas present from my wife. What a woman.

Model 8 E, marked 25-35.
All original. It has been carried but is in very good condition.

I stumbled across this as a private sale and could not pass on it at a Very reasonable price.

Congrats, that's a nice one. I do not recall seeing many E Grades and that early in 25-35 would have to be a real toughie to find.

OOOO!!! Pretty Lady :!: :!:

I am envious, both of the present  and the lady that made it possible. Congrats :)

Very graceful tattoos as well, and I'm very surprised at the condition of the checkering. Could you post a set of close-ups of the checkering and engraving. Many of these have subtle differences.

Thanks for the pics.

OK now I gotta rinse the keyboard out again...

Some people have all the good luck. Congrats on a great find. If there is an engraved m-8 anywhere in this state, I've never been made aware of it's presence. Model 8s in general, are extremely difficult to come by here in Iowa. If I had relied on the marketplace here, my model 8/81 collection wouldn't be very big. Thank goodness for the large Midwestern gunshows.Tulsa,Denver,Kansas City, etc. And the good old internet!! Your new acquisition is quite pretty, and I'm sure envious.
Thanks for your time,
Roger

Stop!! Stop!!

My keyboard hasn't dried out from the last time.....

Very Elegant, the condition of the checkering is very clean. Hope I can find one when the funds are there so I won't be kicking myself for the next 30 years.
