Found an original follower for my .35 cal Model 8 but am having a devil of a time locating a magazine spring. Bought a reproduction from Wisners and took it to my gunsmith for installation, but he said it broke when he test-fired the rifle (my feeling is that he installed it incorrectly!) Would like to locate an original if possible. Any help would be appreciated!

I’ve purchased M8s with the mag spring installed backwards before. But I’ve never had one break before. There are always first times for everything though.
Usually they just fail to load/ eject correctly. You can look that tidbit up in Henwoods book.
