Garand scabbard

Post by jim8008 »

I need a WWII M1938 leather carrying scabbard for the Garand rifle. Must be ORIGINAL 1942 or 1943 (prefer '43), in
good condition and complete with both leather straps and metal snap hooks. Premium paid for Schoellkopf manufactured.
Contact me at 979.224.0095. Thanks. Also, still looking for Remington Model 11 and Remington Model 31 factory Police
Guns.

Jim,

I don't have one for you, but did you by chance see the pic I posted recently of Gen. Tubby Barton driving his own Jeep, with a scabbard-mounted M1 Garand?

Very neat period photo - just fits really well with your "wish list" scabbard.

Adam,

I had seen the picture you posted of General Barton. He was a tough old rascal. I bought a June '43 Winchester M1 last week; trying to get all correct accessories together. Keep your eyes open. Thanks.

I have a Grand scabbard with a stamp "Boyt 42" on it I don't know what it is worth. It has all original straps, but would take a lot of oil to get it back in shape.
