Original "RedHead" Leather takedown case for 8 or 81

Post by Sarge756 »

A true survivor. This is a vintage "RedHead" leather takedown case for our 8`s and 81`s. In great shape with no tears or scuffs. The stitching is tight with good hinges and handle. The shoulder strap is not original, it is part of a sling from a military rifle I installed . The interior is intact with divider and tan felt lining. The welts and trim are smooth and uncracked.
Would be the perfect companion to transport a prized rifle to the field or gunshow.

$295 Shipped (lower 48)

First 'I`ll take it" gets it. Need more photos let me know.
Thanks, Joe

A fair price on a very hard to find case.

Looks to be in better shape than mine; & I do like the shoulder strap it eases the wear on the hand grip. You may want to rethink the price. I've seen them sell for a lot more.

True enough Carl, I too have seen them go for more. This is a nice one. I`m not trying to depress the price on these. Thought I would offer it here to our members at a very fair price to move it quickly.Have a custom Mauser that is calling me and trying to put together the funds. Will give it another day or two and if no takers I guess GB and let the bidding begin. "Can lead a horse to water ...but can`t make him drink".
