.25 Remington Model 8

Post by In The Ten Ring »

It finally has a bid......I nearly bid on it but really need to save my money now. I could be wrong but I think the description has changed a bit over the weeks also.....I don't recall the bore being described as "dark" but I could be wrong. Mismatched stock also keeps me at bay but nice that the seller listed that flaw.

Opinions?

Meh. Too much for that condition.

Ya well, I'll just keep my eyes open. I have (so far) resisted all the tempting ones I've seen on Gunbroker. I should be up in Maine come April, already havethe rooms booked for the ski trip, so maybe I'll get lucky in some pawn shop or gun store up that way.

Good thing to get old and get to that retirement fund, Mr. Woodall ... only way I can afford to buy all these guns.

The ski trip was a huge success but I didn't get on to Maine. I had a doc. appointment on the 13th but had I had a few more days I definitely would have pushed on into MN on the Model 8 hunt. I loved Killington Mtn. so much that I plan to return next year and then, hit Maine's pawn and gun shops.

Image the other side. i walked into a gun shop about 2 years ago and was looking at the used guns and thought, i wish i could find a model 8 in here. i turned around and it was in my face! 350.00+tax it is the most accurate one i have and the most fun to shoot. and it is marked 25-35
