Well Mitch,it looks like it is partly a Model 8. That Lyman tang sight appears to be one for an 8 that got turned around backwards. Another example of "Necessity being the Mother of invention".

Get thee behind me Mitch :twisted: ......I`m resisting the temptation :roll: It has an hour or so to go so I`m turning the confuser off and tuning in to the Emperor`s big speech. Probably a mistake cause I`m sure it will whet my appetite to buy another rifle :!:
