Most delicate internal part?

Hi all,

I have a general question about the Model 8/81. What do people consider to be the most delicate internal part of the Model 8? In other words, what parts tend to fail or break the most often with repeated use? For example, do people have problems with the barrel lock spring, which has always seemed like a weak point to me?

Or do people consider the internal parts to be fairly robust and durable for repeated field use?

Thanks in advance,

Todd

I don't know if it's the most fragile part, but one part subject to a lot of abuse is the firing pin. I've probably heard of more broken firing pins over the years than any other part. And with so many slight variations, they're not always easily replaced. If I had an 8/81 that I hunted with on a regular basis, would nice to have a spare in the stock or somewhere handy.
