M8 Operating plunger

Post by Rack shack »

I just purchased this model 8 and after playing with it I noticed the operating handle plunger just fell out of the operating handle. After looking at the diagrams on this site I see their is a spring also. I believe that it broke before me purchasing it witch is fine but I just want it fixed. It looks to me that the plunger broke off were it goes throu the handle anyway has anyone ever had this problem would like to know what parts I'm going to need to have a gun smith repair it any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Rack shack, congrats on your new-to-you rifle. Operating handles don't really break unless they're messed with or dropped on. You may watch sites like gunbroker or ebay for complete op. handles for sale. Op handles are not an item that are frequently encountered broken on a Model 8...again unless they've been messed with.
